white clay, bisque profiles, hung in a shape of a stairwell

A ceramic installation in an arcade of the Klenová castle is hung in a way that the spectator is left with an impression of a set of stairs going through the vault of the arcade and continuing higher on. It seems from the distance that one really can climb someplace higher, upon closer inspection though the viewer will not only find out that the lowest stair is out of their arm's reach, but also that the stairs are made of smaller tubular segments. Those fragile pieces turn our perception of the stairwell, which we initially perceive as being something physically tangible, into a chimera.
